How can I volunteer?
New Leaders can provide many opportunities to volunteer, sharpen your expertise or learn new skills. Volunteering with New Leaders will also give you the opportunity to make a difference at one of Canada's leading health sciences centres, develop lasting friendships and contribute meaningfully to your community.
Some of the volunteer opportunities New Leaders provides include:
- Event Planning. New Leaders holds a number of events throughout the year. We are always looking for dedicated and creative leaders to help plan and execute unique events tailored to our audiences.
- Communications. New Leaders uses a number of communication tools, including our website and newsletter, to market our events and activities. We welcome expertise in layout, design and content development to maintain up-to-date communications.
- Administration. We are always looking for detail-oriented individuals who can help us maintain our databases and administrative infrastructure.
- Community Outreach. New Leaders builds awareness of our events and activities through public speaking opportunities and by distributing information at relevant community venues. We seek engaging, energetic volunteers who enjoy meeting new people and will bring the excitement of New Leaders to new audiences.
- Media. We work closely with local media to raise awareness of New Leaders and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. We welcome the contribution of public relations and communications professionals with expertise in developing media kits and reaching media outlets.
- Corporate Sponsorship and Partnership. New Leaders is indebted to the many corporate and institutional sponsors and partners who make our events possible. You can assist New Leaders by building relationships with local businesses wishing to contribute funds or resources to our events.
