Muse 08 Carnivale, held on March 28, 2008, was an unqualified success, generating $20,000 for the expansion and enhancement of Sunnybrook’s Schulich Heart Centre.

These funds have been earmarked for a state-of-the-art room that will facilitate staff training, allow medical teams to collaborate more effectively, and provide patients’ families the private space they need to meet with healthcare professionals and consider treatment options. This new, multipurpose space will overcome the physical constraints of the Centre’s current configuration for these critical professional and family discussions. With support for events like this, the quality of treatment at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre will improve as patients, families and medical staff will be able to work together in an environment designed to foster better outcomes for cardiac patients.
